Specialized Training and Experience:
I have been working with children and families with disabilities since 2004. I have been working in the field of autism since 2007, doing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. I have provided 1:1 individual skills training, family skills training, implementation of skills programming and managing challenging behaviors in children ages 2 to 18 years old. I have also conducted 1:1 therapy with children and their families, in-home and office settings. I am qualified as a clinical supervisor and an instructor for Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).
Areas of Clinical Interest:
My clinical interests are providing in-home and outpatient services by designing active learning environments for both children and parents, which are appropriate for various developmental levels. I enjoy working with children and adolescents with behavioral challenges, mood and anxiety disorders, developmental issues, Autism Spectrum Disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and ADHD. Also, working with parents related to parenting challenges and increasing family systems functioing. I use a variety of approaches, strategies and methods, including, cognitive behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, systematic desensitization, strengths perspective and behavioral strategies.
